Popcorn Sales

Popcorn order forms are due on Monday, October 19^th during the meeting.

Please do not bring any money at this time. We will be taking the money on November 30^th.

Advancement – We will focus on the advancement of our first year Scouts during our Troop Meetings. Please bring your books to the meetings so that we know what you need for your next rank progression.

Four Scouts didn’t attend Summer Camp and will require a special session during a weekend or during our Merit Badge Fair to play catch-up. These Scouts include: Harlan, Raife, Joey and Tamaki.

Meeting Schedule

Monday, October 19^th

Committee Meeting – We will be doing our final planning for Webelos Weekend. All parents are encouraged to attend. We will begin at 6:00pm in the Scout Hut. For Scouts that need a Board of Review, please be available at the Hut at 6:30pm in full uniform.

Popcorn – Bring your completed order forms to this meeting. We won’t be ready to accept any money yet.

Canoeing Merit Badge – We will plan to complete the “dry land” portion of the merit badge during the meeting.

Halloween Party – Come in costume and bring some snacks to share.

Stillwater Household Hazardous Waste Collection – The City will be holding its annual hazardous waste collection on Saturday, October 24^th. Collections will be received at 807 S. Perkins from 08:00 – 13:00. Items that may be dropped off include: Electronics, Pharmaceuticals and Household Hazardous Items. Girl Scout Garage/Bake Sale – Girl Scout Troop 678, which meets in the Scout Hut on Tuesdays, will be holding a garage and bake sale on Saturday, November 14^th. The purpose of the sale is to raise money for the Scouts to travel to Savannah, GA to visit the home of Juliette Gordon Law, the founder of Girl Scouts. In preparation they will begin storing sale items in the Hut as early as Wednesday, November 11^th.

If you’d like to donate items to the Girl Scouts for their sale, please bring them to our Monday Meetings. As long as what we gather is not garbage, they’ll gladly take the donations for their cause.

Webelos Weekend –We’re well into the planning phase with the event coming on November 7^th. Please volunteer to assist with this fun activity. We can always use some extra hands.

Lock-in/Merit Badge Fair – Currently scheduled for December 4^th – 5^th. We will be looking for ideas of merit badges to offer.

Eskimo Joe’s Scouting Adventure – The rollout of the 100^th Anniversary Joe’s Scouting Shirt will be held on January 1^st from 11:00am – 2:00pm. The shirt is very cool and all that can attend in uniform is greatly appreciated. I’m told that they will be serving Pepsi product to all in attendance.
